An Attractive Alternative

There isn't any practical functionality to Earth Live Wallpaper; it's purely for the pleasure of looking at something aesthetically pleasing. It replaces your regular static desktop wallpaper with a high nicely rendered representation of our home planet. You can switch to different views, such as geographical, and political, and you can drag and zoom to look around. Earth's rotation speed can be changed, and there is day/night representation in the visualisation, so you can see half the planet in darkness, if you choose.

Just Okay

As an inexpensive, fun little app, it's hard to fault Earth Live Wallpaper. It would be nice to be able to sync the planet with real time, and also to have the camera remain in one location over the planet. The animation is also a little choppy, and it seems to be designed for a specific desktop resolution and doesn't handle smaller resolutions well.
